Hi my mum has alzheimer's and is struggling with her routine (she has already cooked Christmas dinner thinking it was soon). We were thinking of getting a calendar that me and my sibling can add to from an app - has anyone used a Skylight calendar with their family member and if so which ones are better?

DM has an A5 diary (2 pages for the week) + a bic biro on a long string sellotaped into the back of the diary

a bright colour so it doesn’t get lost on the table/sofa

every time we speak to her about an appointment she writes it in & we check it when we visit

works really well for us all

also she has an orientation clock which sits on the mantelpiece and then she always knows the day/date/time and if it’s morning/afternoon/evening - I bought it from Amazon

DM has an iPad for FaceTime which she can use but she’d not manage an app for a calendar

We use the Jointly App Carers UK. My brother and i can add in calendar events, tasks etc. Highly recommend.
