I'm taking my mum (70) to the GP today to discuss MRI results and confirmation of vascular dementia.
We have suspected it for a year or 2 - asking questions repeatedly, fussing, can't keep on top housework, hoarding etc but nothing very serious.
In hindsight it's been going on for years.
Hopefully she will be receptive to treatment to alleviate sympthons and doctor recommendations.
I'm not sure what the next steps are.
She has asked me to go with her to the appointment.
I want to compile a list of questions to ask - any suggestions?
My mind has gone blank.
Reality is setting in, confirmation of what we suspected.
I have some idea of the future, Im not completely naive. Many of my mums relatives have gone through Alzeheimers/Dementia, mostly in denial and with very little medical intervention so have some idea but not first hand.
