Government Emergency Alert

my father has Dementia and has a basic doro mobile phone I'm worried about this government emergency alert alarm due to happen on 23rd April distressing dad. I've looked online about switching the alert off but can online find instructions for smart phones. Will owners of basic non smart mobile phones receive this alert too? There's no mention or consideration given to alzheimers and dementia sufferers on the government website.

It's only going to smart phones with 4G or 5G compatibility. My DM's Doro is only 3G

Pressed send too soon. DM also has Alzheimer’s, is still addicted to her phone and is in a care home. They haven't mentioned it as an issue for them or her and they're usually on the ball for everything

luckily looks like dad won't be getting the alert then as he's only got a basic phone.
