Anyone have experience of care agencies near Blackheath, London?

I’m looking on behalf of my Mum who has Alzheimer’s. Dad is exhausted and they need someone to come in and help Mum with washing and dressing etc, to give Dad a break. Hoping it might also be a link to respite care in the future. I’ve looked at some websites and they all look good, have CQC so not sure who to choose - if anyone has had positive experiences with any I’d be grateful for any info, thanks

I’ve not got experience of a Carer’s Agency near to you but just wondering if she’s had a Care Needs Assessment? Her SW should do this and you can also ask for —absolutely insist upon— a Carer’s Assessment for your Dad.

She’s had a couple by phone - my Dad answered and then got cross at having to answer the same questions again! (Mum’s got worse over the last few months). The first social worker said she’d ‘Closed the case’ - Mum wasn’t too bad at that time and I guess Dad said they were fine. She gave me another number to call to set up a new care assessment. The guy I was put onto said they get 20 calls per day like mine, 250 per week so not to expect a quick response. I’ve found a couple of agencies that cover their area now, just go to keep encouraging Dad to read their brochures and accept some help. Thanks so much for posting.

Pat's Care is a new'ish Agency but are gaining a good reputation. Otherwise, Eleanor are one of the larger ones.

Did your DM give you POA? If not it will probably be too late fir one for your DM but I would talk to your DF about getting both health and financial for him.
