my dad has signs of dementia. what should I do?

Just that really. His memory is bad but he's becoming very slow to react to situations. He lives on his own. Is very capable.

Is there anything I can do to halt this. Can GPs help etc?

He will need to see is GP who will arrange for a memory test for him.
