Not that only dads like beer (am partial myself) but thought this might be a likely place for ideas...

Wanting to get dh a selection of really nice and interesting proper beer for Christmas. He has had and liked some of the St Peter's range, also is a fan of Black Sheep and IPA, but I'm looking for some other things he might not have tried (and stockists!).

TIA

This is all great, thanks. Have ordered a few of these already and will go looking for more.

I really rather like a pint of Greene King IPA. Very drinkable, not too hoppy (IMO) and v nice.

I think it is a fairly standard beer, but nonetheless very good.

Marston Oyster Stout.

This is what treacle would be if it was a beer. Not sickly sweet, but a lovely, rich, strong sweetness to the bitter stout.

For micro breweries a vote for Sulwath, their Criffel and Knockendoch are very good though I find His Grace a bit too bitter for my taste

Don't know if anyone has already mentioned it but CAMRA Campaign for Real Ale has an online shop. Don't know an awful lot about them but their headquarters is right next door to my DD's school and my FIL is a member.

Blandford Fly is my all time favourite christmas beer - flavoured with ginger, very xmassy!
