This is the first time on this topic but i really could do with your help.

I need to find a christmas present for my DH.

He is the worlds best present buyer. For example he has sent me and my Mum on the Orient express for a wonderful day out.He regually buys me flowers, buys beautiful jewellery and perfume and quirky original gifts for birthdays and christmas.

But, he is a real pain in the arse to buy for.

He doesn't drink (allergic to alchol) doesn't smoke, doesn't wear jewellery (apart from his wedding ring),not into sports etc

But, he loves cars of all types (a real petrol head and mine of useless info)but he subscribes to Top Gear already, totally into photography-subscribes to a couple of mags, has so many cameras it's getting silly-especially as that was my profession and not his!
I have sent him on driving days etc and have run out of ideas.

I really want to wow him this year as he is one in a million.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Don't know how much money you want to spend, but how about taking him to a GP next year? the cheapest for you would be Silverstone (I nearly wrote Silverhatch - to much Roary the Racing Car).
I took DH to one a few years ago with Page and Moy and it won me about 3 zillion brownie points! (and best of all I got to go too!)

What a brilliant present buyer your dh is! I usually get the cd dh wanted himself!!!

So... I was thinking... What about hiring him a dream car -

and a little cottage for two???

I can't believe that he is doing the diet with you - what a lovely husband you have.

sigh......think I need to point my dh in the direction of this thread. Its not that he doesn't try with prfezzies - he does - but he ends up buying me something HE would like!!

There is a car show at Earls Court called MPH 2008. I went to it a year or two back and was a bit disappointed but a true petrol head would love it. Probably next year it will be called MPH 2009! Look it up on the internet

Tickets for a show and an overnight stay in romantic hotel with his lovely wife?

That would be my dh's best pressie.

How about a trip to one of those track days, where you get to drive round in hugely expensive sports cars? All the big racetracks do them. Here's Silverstone's: www.silverstone.co.uk/php/de_overview.html

I'll give my stock response to this question:

A packet of butchers sausages - grilled
A good bottle of Aussie Shiraz (spend at least £15)
And a shag.

Happy Birthday.
