Do you ever think that the men that use MN must be in touch with their feminine sides??

Thanks might manage Leeds or if all else fails at least know where to get dp tshirts he'll wear from

I thought the idea of contributions from the dads was to give the male perspective. And reading some of the postings from the mums they could really use that ....

I think the blokes on MN almost to a man sound lovely and definitely manly in the best possible way -ie not bullying or overbearing, and actually seem to like women. Plus they usually have very refreshingly different angles on things.

solowitch · 26/03/2009 17:12

I reckon they have a good laugh and often have their suspicions about women confirmed ~ by women!

BonsoirAnna · 26/03/2009 17:13

Oh definitely, the men on MN are not my sort of man at all . I like Alpha Males with lots and lots of testosterone!

solowitch · 26/03/2009 17:18

That was a light hearted touch btw, not serious.

DadInsteadofMum · 26/03/2009 22:04

Oi - don't you have your own place to go and gossip about us - do you have to do it right in front of us.

PadDad · 27/03/2009 05:52

What are the symptoms of being in touch with my feminine side?

And what is it about doing a few posts on Mumsnet that removes the possibility of being an Alpha Male "with lots and lots of testosterone!", as BonsoirAnna seems to think?

Is Mumsnet like Kryptonite?

GreatDadinTraining · 27/03/2009 13:43

Testosteronony a plenty here, thank you very much!!
Duchesse - are you always so accurately perceptive?

Most of the complaints by women seem to be about men getting drunk, being inconsiderate, uncommunicative, driving too fast, not helping out at home and so on. So is there a suggestion here that not behaving like this means men are in touch with their feminine side?

onetrackmind · 28/03/2009 22:56

I thought by understanding women better I might get more shags

Didn't work though. Women are from a different planet....

Tortington · 28/03/2009 22:59

definatley mc types who grow herbs

PadDad · 28/03/2009 23:00

onetrackmind,

What you needed to do was read study 'Lace', in the 80's. The mini-series, yeah, but particularly the book. That told you everything you needed to know.

Right, ladies?

BigGitDad · 28/03/2009 23:03

I am always suprised at how many dads there are on here as it is not always obvious unless you know who is who with regard to the names.
Must admit it has been a while since I had a look at dadsnet.

ABetaDad · 28/03/2009 23:06

Bonsoir - believe me I have worked with some pretty top end Alpha Males and they are completely psychotic. You would not like them at all.

I think you mean men who are real men - which is what most women want. I think ?

No I do not think men on MN are too much in touch with their female side. I wish more of the blokes would post a lot more on the other threads though. A bit too much 'group think' when it is all women.

BigGitDad · 28/03/2009 23:17

abetadad, trouble is it is easy to get hooked on here and trawl threads etc.
I try to limit myself to stupid comments on here which is not difficult!

jollydiane · 28/03/2009 23:22

You mean they let men in?

differentEggD · 28/03/2009 23:24

bgd, did I scare you from scuttle at all with my googling talents?

jollydiane · 28/03/2009 23:29

Look at the time - who else has got to work out how to change all the clocks/computers or do we leave that job to our other halves?

differentEggD · 28/03/2009 23:30

Di, I'll leave that to my dh

BigGitDad · 28/03/2009 23:44

Hi ID, how are you?
I keep meaning to pop back there but things have got a bit serious for one reason or another and I felt I could not charge in with a load of inane comments. I will pop on there soon.
How are you though?

differentEggD · 28/03/2009 23:45

I'm goo dthanks.

No, pop in- some levity could be what's needed atm.

BigGitDad · 28/03/2009 23:49

Will do ID.
