We need a men's version of the "am I being unreasonable..." thread

We never say that - we know if we're being unreasonable. I would acknowledge that we don't always know if we're behaving like a complete arse, however.

How about:
"Am I being an utter twat..?"
"Why for Pete's sake did I..?"
"What on Earth was I thinking..?"

thank you dino

how about

"oh god she's kicking off, i'm going to studiously watch Top Gear while playing pocket billiards and hope she goes away"

lou33 · 06/12/2007 18:26

oh i've said lots of things via text i would most definitely say in person to certain men

if they had the balls to face me

lou33 · 06/12/2007 18:27

or "Ffs, why cant i just go straight to sleep after sex?"

sunflowervalley · 06/12/2007 19:14

What about
"Is it your time of the month dear"

lou33 · 06/12/2007 19:26

oh man, if there is one thing that is guaranteed to make me see the red mist, it's someone asking me that

anytime of the month

UnquietDad · 07/12/2007 12:29

Could we have
"Why is she..../why does she....?"

motherinferior · 07/12/2007 12:30

Isn't She Being Unreasonable?

Nightynight · 07/12/2007 12:32

you could, UD, but you might not like some of the answers....

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 07/12/2007 12:38

I always thought 'Am I being unreasonable' was another way of sayin 'Am I the only one that thinks that........'
Then you type your moan, and everyone agrees.

UnquietDad · 07/12/2007 12:53

We could probably guess the answers!

By the way, if you are in a mood and we ask "What's up?" and you say "nothing", whatever tone that is delivered in, we then have the right to continue to behave as if it is nothing.

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 07/12/2007 12:57

I'll have you know that it's DP that does that not me!
If I'm asked what's up I say 'YOU!!' pull out my notepad and proceed to reel off anything and everything that has annoyed me, especially the things he does in his sleep

OrmIrian · 07/12/2007 12:57

'Let me first apologise for being unreasonable, but....'

lucyellensmum · 07/12/2007 13:44

sunflower, i did actually slap my DP for asking me if i had my period once............

Men, a word of advice,,,,,,,,,if your loved one is "nagging" it is because she wants a REACTION, she wants you to reassure her that everything is going to be alright and she probably wants a cuddle too. BUT, if you will insist on sitting there and not taking the bait then dont be surprised if you end up covered in ribena!

Love this thread, i proper love men i do

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 07/12/2007 14:01

Lol LEM, in my house there is no such thing as nagging, just consistent reminders that DP has a job to do

lou33 · 07/12/2007 20:13

i stabbed a carving knife into the kitchen workshop when i got asked if i had pmt once

and i didnt have it, it just pissed me off so much

TenLordsaLapin · 07/12/2007 20:20

I like "Why for Pete's sake did I..?"

When did you become Dadsnet, BTW? Much better. The other name was too lavatorial.

sweetgrapes · 07/12/2007 20:25

my dh asked me that once too...

it's so damn irritating...

It suggests that there is something wrong with ME but me nagging dh means dh hasn't done something he should have so there is something wrong with HIM iykwim.

My sister is also so irritating and finally when I yell at her - she gives me a saintly look and asks if I have high blood pressure. well NO I DON'T... (I really don't - have checked)

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 07/12/2007 20:36

Oh PMT is a killer, but pregnancy is worse, everytime I have been annoyed in the last 6months apparently it's 'hormones'

S1ur · 07/12/2007 21:22

How about,
Is this FUBAR?
