What sort of job or small business would you ‘want to’ do instead of ‘have to’? Advice for dh.

So if you are out of work, and you are in a good financial position, where you can afford to find a job that pays enough to cover the bills, what would you do?

After a stressful time at his last job, dh handed his notice in.
He is taking the summer off, then looking for something later in the year.
We have no mortgage and I still work, so when he starts looking, it’s for something like a small business that ticks over rather than making a profit iyswim.
What type of small business would you advise that would tick over?
Thought I’d ask from a male perspective (I’m his wife).
Thanks in advance 🙂

You haven't said what his skills are? Is he unskilled, a manual worker, a professional, self employed, the line of work been in previously? Give us a bit more info to go with, then some may be able to help? Smile

I am female. Set up a small business as a dog walker. It is something a man who likes dogs could enjoy and earn a living from. You can also buy a dog walking franchise to help you get started.

Any advice where to buy a dog walking franchise? Now a retired dog lover, could do that. Providing there's enough customers? I know of franchises closing because not enough business.
