here
"She's foxy, on television and in the flesh, fun and funny. Some of her male fan base also imagine her to be bossy - in a good way."

It's a bit disappointing to see non-entities such as Beeny and a couple of others have so much coverage when darling M. - intelligent, beautiful, well-read, elegant to a fault,(loves her mum), stylish and sooo sexy be relagated to bit parts.
I like to think she does what work she likes, which for a woman of such poise and taste doesn't involve the "wannabericher" types and have a film crew wandering round after her incessantly.

NotanOtter · 09/05/2007 22:46

I copy mariellas hair!!

wish i could copy her voice

MrMariella · 09/05/2007 22:49

Wow! Very fine hair indeed!

I used to have colleague who spoke alot like M., so I'd phone her up from time to time, and ask her utterly inane questions so for the pleasure.

did meet said colleague one day.

Should have stuck to the phone stuff.

NotanOtter · 09/05/2007 22:50

lol!

UnquietDad · 10/05/2007 00:43

I was so glad I bought the Guardian today.

She swears in that interview too. Talk dirty to me, Sarah...

UnquietDad · 10/05/2007 00:45

If there is ONE thing I'd change about the lovely Beeny, though, it's......

the way she says...

THAASAND PAANDS.

MrMariella · 10/05/2007 00:48

Well, I think she is over-charging.

UQD - the longer you spend in the North, the more absurd such accents sound!!

MrsJohnCusack · 10/05/2007 01:07

she sounds really nice in that article
so glad to hear her dreadful hair has been sorted out
still can't understand though, why when i've heard her bemoan her large chest, she dresses to accentuate it (and not always in a flattering way)

wonder if she comes on here...

UnquietDad · 10/05/2007 09:46

Last time she was in the grauniad was for that questionnaire in the Weekend bit - the one where they always ask "Have you ever had a same-sex experience?" Sarah's answer was "no, to my husband's disappintment."

Mr Beeny is a man on my wavelength!

Indeed!
To be honest, I'm surprised they got away with askng that question for so long. Did they ask their gay interviewees "have you ever had a different-sex experience?"

expatinscotland · 10/05/2007 09:53

She's one of those people who's going to be 35 forever.

UnquietDad · 10/05/2007 09:54

Eh? She was born in 1972, so she really is 35.

Piffle · 10/05/2007 09:57

Dp alleges I have identical figure to SB (silently pleased after seeing her on telly last night)
I suspect Botox on her face though, or is she the only person whose undereye bags and lines disappear after having a couple of kids

expatinscotland · 10/05/2007 09:57

Yes, UD, she was 35 last year, too.

Sadie Frost was also born in several different years.

NotanOtter · 10/05/2007 09:58

yeah yeah

NotanOtter · 10/05/2007 09:58

Catherine zeta and patsy kensit

UnquietDad · 10/05/2007 10:00

Well, every source I can find gives 9/1/72 as her birthdate.

expatinscotland · 10/05/2007 10:02

Caprice Bouret.

Geri Halliwell.

expatinscotland · 10/05/2007 10:02

Unless I've seen a birth certificate in print, I take it with a grain of salt.

Every source says Rachel Weisz is 36, but an MNer went to school with her and is 40.

NotanOtter · 10/05/2007 10:03

Hermione norris

NotanOtter · 10/05/2007 10:04

Really Expat !!

NotanOtter · 10/05/2007 10:04

wish i dared lie

expatinscotland · 10/05/2007 10:04

Yes, really!

UnquietDad · 10/05/2007 10:04

I went to school with Stuart Miles from Blue Peter and he claims to be two years younger than me! You can only get away with "showbiz age-planing" once though.
