Medical Certificates for Events in France and Italy

My husband does events in France and Switzerland.
The events in France require a medical certificate which he usually gets from his GP. I made the appointment for him but my husband got called to say the medical practice did not do it any more, not even on a private basis. They did not recommend any one.
We found a company online that does the certificate.
My husband has just completed the Marmotte GranFondo Alpes ( 3rd time) .
He has just returned to an email from the Étape people to say his medical certificate is invalid. There is no reason given.
We have booked car hire. flights, accommodation… There is no refund on the self catering apartment we have booked as it is only a couple of weeks away now.
It is such short notice. We are very annoyed about this.
We can’t find anyway to contact the company.

Sorry, I am just venting.

Update:
Husband has now had another email to say his certificate is accepted.
I uploaded the same one to the site last night.

For future reference, events in France now have a Self certify system, used this for the L'ardechoise recently..

For future reference - it would have been because for France « certificats de non contre indication à la pratique … » need ti be established in person for some reason …
