Locking a bike in a garage safely (insurance)

I know I can't just lock my bike in the garage & assume it's insured

I need to attach it to something imoveable - My dad has a metal hoop that was cemented in

If the garage concrete floor alrady exists what is the best way to add something to attach the bike to?

Does it stipulate that in your insurance?

It can't just be locked it has to be locked to something immoveable

& I can't just lock the 2 or 3 bikes together either

Google "bike wall anchor", some are great, some are cheap, some not so cheap.

We bought £10 ones for a house we rented - still ticked the box for insurance purposes it was a really secure building stone built with metal doors so we were happy enough with that.

We have got two abus ones that were about £25 each from memory. All bikes are fastened together with kyrptonite cables and then d locked to the wall, we have got three bikes on each one.

Our insurance policy doesn't specify locks or type of anything though.

I get so frustrated when I don't know what I want as it means I can't even Google for it!!

We drooled a d ring into the floor. Two long cables to loop through the bikes. Cables secured to d ring with kryptonite type lock.

Wall hangs and locked to them are the way forward.
Also look into getting a garage defender for the door itself.

I think it'll have to be the floor, the house we are looking at has a pre-fab garage which may not survive being drilled into!!

Friend of mine mixed a 2gall. Galvanized steel bucket full of concrete and bent a 10mm X 100 cm steel rod in half and pushed it into the setting concrete so a loop of steel sticks out.
It weighs a ton and while not immoveable makes it ridiculously hard to take a bike attached to it with the advantage of enabling you to move and use it in various places IE garage, garden or shed.
