I need inspiration!

Spending the weekend with DP (it'll be just the two of us), and wanting to do/see something other than a bucket of popcorn at the cinema!

Can anyone offer any assistance?

The peak district isn't too far (depending what side of Brum your tslking about) if you want a quiet weekend, rather than a city break (or maybe Cotswolds/Malverns?)

What sort of thing do you like to do ? Shopping/walking/art ?

The Ashmolean in Oxford has recently reopened after a major refurb (but prob outer limits of your journey), and it's lovely to mooch round Oxford.

Stratford is quite nice this time of year before the tourists descend. Or walking up at Broadway or Malvern
