You could always go and see the sister of an old uni shag of mine in As You Like It - except it's getting terrible reviews, so perhaps not kultcha'd enough...

Lonelymum · 30/06/2005 13:14

Phew! was about to post something extremely vitiolic towards Moondog for missing me off her list of culture vultures, but then she came up with my name, even if somewhat belatedly. I should think so too!

Have to laugh though, as you have posted more times than anyone else on this particular thread Moondog! Do you secretly wish to be one of our number?

Cam · 30/06/2005 14:02

Moondog is more than welcome, us cultured types are not SNOBS , that's a very uncultured thing to be

Lonelymum · 30/06/2005 14:11

Read her original post Cam. I quote:

Let's see all the snobs congreaget.
Let's see.........

caligula
Pruni
Mogwai
PPH
JanH
MI
Hunker
Puff
WWW
Flamesparrow
Suzywong

She uses the word herself! Perhaps that automatically excludes her?

Cam · 30/06/2005 22:43

No no no we have to show her that we're not snobs Lonelymum

Saw a preview of the RA summer exhibition yesterday evening, lots of Hyde Park railings rubbish as usual, but I think children would like:

  • the room of architectural drawings and models (Was this always part of the show? only noticed it for the first time last year); and
  • a couple of fantastic trompe l'oeil sort of installation things on glass sheets, one a face (that you think has been modelled out of wire) and the other a spooky midair skeleton.

We really really liked the Chuck Close portraits.

Cam · 01/07/2005 16:17

Nothing from Prince Charles this year then Binkie - I suppose he's been too busy getting married

Cam · 03/10/2005 16:11

Well some people thought that this would be a non-topic but I see we've got everything on Culture Vultures from
"how to clean your cd's"
to
"partial eclipse of the sun"

Only cultural threads?

I think not
