Hi, The B&TB musical is touring soon and my dd will be 4 by the time it arrives here. It's the award winning Broadway production that has been a round for some time (Beauty & The Beast, Tale as Old as Time)and I believe has shown in the West End. I was hoping if someone has seen it and can tell me if it's suitable for kids of that age. Thanks

Not seen it but one of our teacher's was in it a couple of years ago. She's off on maternity leave but I'll see if she is around to ask.

I saw the original in the West End and would have thought it was fine , if may be long depending on her attention span.

I took DD(5) to see this last year and she enjoyed most of it, though did get bored and fidgety at some points (especially the songs which she did not recognise)as I think it is 2 and 3/4 hours long, including interval. I, however, would have left at the interval if I had been there by myself as the singing of the supporting cast was atrocious and painful to listen to. We were unlucky that a lot of the supporting parts were played by the covers that night, a friend took her dd on another date and raved about it.

The theatre was full of young children and if your dd normally can sit for a long stretch of time then I expect she would enjoy it and you could maybe borrow a copy of the show soundtrack so she is familiar with the new songs as well. Otherwise there are some other lovely musical theatre productions aimed specifically at younger children which are one hour or under in length which may be more enjoyable.

Hope you both enjoy it if you decide to go
