the lion king...cheap seats sitting up with the gods...are they ok?

can you see the stage alright,do you lose a lot of the atmosphere/visual effects so high up
or is it worth saving up and spending twice as much to sit much closer

I always sit up with the gods - stage is slightly obscured if sat too far round (closer to the stage the less can be seen). However, I have found that other theater goers mind bouncing-excited/fidgety-bored children slightly distracting their viewing, if they haven't paid £300 for their tickets.

yes too close is awful

dh's mum used to alwasy get front row seats for pantos..all I can concentrate on are the actors feet!
