WHAT???? Of course not I'd rather boil my ears. What on earth were they DOING?

lizandlulu · 15/10/2008 21:36

i dont have a piano, but surely there would be some sort of build up on the keys and moving parts???

very odd

lizandlulu · 15/10/2008 21:36

think they could have chosen a better scenario

missblythe · 15/10/2008 21:38

I just spray my family with Dettol every hour, on the hour. Much easier that worrying about all the household items

kitbit · 15/10/2008 21:46

Yes but lizandlulu dettol is obviously a liquid and putting liquid onto a wooden object like a piano is a complete no-no as the sides of the keys and many of the inner workings are not sealed nor varnished so it could easily cause warping, the key coverings to lift off and damage the varnish. Especially if it is lacquered. If it was a waxy polishy type version of Dettol then maybe. Was it? Am unfeasibly worried for the poor piano in the advert

MorticiaAnnSpookington · 15/10/2008 21:48

you could see it on the keys,glistening...

ridiculous,neurotic,scare mongery tosh

Of course I do after each key is touched. I have a hard time keeping up with it when someone's playing Bach Variations but I do my best, and only have to tell them to play slower a few times.

I have a flat mate once who literally followed people around with the hoover!

I have a digital piano. I have not sprayed it with anything and don't plan on starting either.

I'll just make sure the DCs dont lick the keys
