I want to write a book but I don't have a plot

I really feel like I want to write, I'd like to try a chick lit novel.

But I don't have a plot, not even sure that I can write, but hey, I'm not going to let that stop me (many others don't!).

I guess I'm just looking for some advice and inspiration.

UQD has written three or five or six or eight books. Were any of them about counting?

Have you never noticed that very few people are both numerate and literate? It's the ones who can handle neither that worry me!

Go on a writers workshop - they will give you loads of ideas about how to invent a plot!

I have millions of them but no time to develop them!

UQD - sorry - you did put that. It's probably the equivalent of my 15% of net receipts if net receipts are typically 50% of cover price.

I want to know who you are but I don't want to post my email address on here as I'll mess up my own anonymity. Oh well the mystery will have to remain for me.
