Calling all fans of this amazing woman. There's a programme about her on Radio 2 at 10.30pm on Tuesday night.
Stuart Maconie seriously thinks her most beautiful song is one of the greatest ever written. I think I love him

I am totally in love with Sandy's music!

She's just the most amazing singer and songwriter ever. So glad there are some fans on mumsnet! I was about to start a thread myself as i just listened again to Bob Harris's show on Radio 2.

I'm all emotional now

SandyDennyWasAGreatSinger · 23/04/2008 16:35

Have name changed in her honour

Hassled · 23/04/2008 16:36

Oh I'd forgotten that song - when she was with Fairport Convention? Thank you - back to the ITunes store for me (amazing how those 79ps add up).

SandyDennyWasAGreatSinger · 23/04/2008 20:11

I think she first recorded it with them. Second song she ever wrote, believe it or not

I will be honest and say that although there was a lot of interest in the programme (I for one did not know that Sandy was terrified her estranged husband would not bring their little daughter back from a family visit to Australia, at the time of her death ), Whispering Bob TALKED over the Unhalfbricking recording of Who Knows Where the Time Goes at the end, the idiot. And that spoiled it for me.
