Lady Boys of Bangkok

Hello, I'm new here so hope I don't offend by doing the wrong thing. Here goes. The Lady Boys of Bangkok are appearing near me and I quite like the idea of going to see them. Looks like glamorous, camp fun to me. Here's the rub though. If I go and see them, am I tacitly approving of some of the more seedy aspect of the lives of the lady boys and helping to perpetuate some of the problems. Or are the ones that perform happy in their own skins (ahem!) and therefore it's OK. I might be barking up completely the wrong tree with this.

Yes, weren't they there last year during the festival? Now they are coming to the sticks (where I live) and I'd love to see them. I read somewhere that some of them have bodged operations to get rid of their dangly bits. Perhaps the ones that perform don't do this and just tie there's to their legs. Let's hope so.
