So chickens got their own section but not music?

Some weird decisions coming from the MN Towers camp these days

KatyMac · 29/03/2008 22:35

SHouldn't be chickens

Should be small holding/goodlife/something else

What about people who eat rabbits/grow food/keep goats/have a pig - they are so left out

PS what is Thrash metal - would I have heard any? Do I like it?

winestein · 29/03/2008 22:35

Ah - can't help you here. Had a brief spell in the early 90's with Henry Rollins but backed off into the funk / traditional rock and now, rather alarmingly, AOR genre.

But then, I am an old git

southeastastra · 29/03/2008 22:37

ew no, youtube the beach boys 2shoes much more civillised

2shoes · 29/03/2008 22:37

you are not alowed to like limp bizket as fred was rude about slipnot fans.

I just wanted a catchy title.
I think it is daft that mn doesn't have a place where I can talk about AX7 and Metallica. but you can talk about chickens and bloody dysons

annemarie29 · 29/03/2008 22:41

ax7? not heard of them. and i love thrash metal(never really grew out of my teens )

southeastastra · 29/03/2008 22:41

i agree with you 2shoes, about the music topic.

i can't see why they wont allow one. it does annoy me, music is a relevant topic.

WigWamBam · 29/03/2008 22:42

Tis a damned sight more relevant than bloody chickens ...

annemarie29 · 29/03/2008 22:42

ah ok now i get it.

southeastastra · 29/03/2008 22:43

and a good indicator of modern culture so worth keeping at least for future reference.

noscat · 29/03/2008 22:46

My son is the lead guitarist in a metal band, and it made me laugh when I went along to one of his gigs & a young "fan" said to me (bear in mind i am fat, 40 odd & definitely not a typical thrash metal type look a like person). "So, is this your type of music then?" Bless...

shineoncrazytalula · 29/03/2008 22:46

oh 2shoes a music thread! fab!

dont be afraid 2shoes...its not jayz

BigBadMouse · 29/03/2008 22:47

It's not so much it is more relevant than chickens (relevant to what? [thick emoticon]) just, surely, more popular.

Can't see why they would turn one down either . I tend to avoid the 'culture' topic but would quite happily chat away about music genres and playing an instrument.

zippitippitoes · 29/03/2008 22:48

o yuk there should have been a warning on that link

2shoes · 29/03/2008 22:48

shineoncrazytalula you *** that is not music

OP posts:
BigBadMouse · 29/03/2008 22:48

noscat pmsl ...you should have told him you thought it a little 'tame' for your liking!

2shoes · 29/03/2008 22:50

but maybe mn say no as there aren't loads of threads. so we need to do threads.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 29/03/2008 22:50

music is always looked down upon, there is just as much intelligence in music as in books.

noscat · 29/03/2008 22:50

Oh Zippitippitoes, you will probably get me struck off for confusing my Linkin Park with Limp Bizkit!! I just love music... metal included

WigWamBam · 29/03/2008 22:51

Relevant to most MNers, I meant.

Music being more relevant to more people than chickens. Music being something that most people feel relevant in some way to their lives. Whether it be thrash metal or Shostakovich.

But I am tired and probably making no sense at all.

harleyd · 29/03/2008 22:53

slayer

tm i love you you make me laugh baby

noscat · 29/03/2008 22:53

You're right BigBadMouse - should have challenged him to a duel in the mosh pit! Acually not sure what you do in mosh pits apart from try to get things broken, my lot have a "wall of death" which sounds awful - but injuries to date are cricked necks & a broken wrist but he tripped (apparently)

shineoncrazytalula · 29/03/2008 22:53

for you 2shoes

winestein · 29/03/2008 23:01

Don't take it badly 2shoes - Fred is just a very clever businessman
