it is the very famous one with a movement that goes
dumdumdum dumdiddle dum
dumdumdum dumdiddle dum
(then the it goes into madly fast arpeggios)
it is on loads of soundtracks so if anyone can tell me the name of a particular film then that would help too

...Dum diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle
Dum diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle
DUM diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle diddle
DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM

DUM

DuuuuuuuuuuuuuuM

That actually sounded very musical as I was typing it.

Must get out more

We could have a whole new section devoted to 'Name that Tune' in one dum-diddly.

yes I was going to say scales not arpeggios too! (as well as sonata not concerto)

but harpsi has buggered off anyway it seems

slim22 · 25/02/2008 06:21

must be 20 or 21?

salierilurkingjealously · 25/02/2008 09:01

ah yes you are all right of course they are scales. d'oh.
I was going to say scales and then changed my mind but I was horribly wrong.
and I suspect you are right, it is a sonata because I have listened to all of the concertos and it isn't any of them
but I have a really dodgy internet connection at the mo (apparently my pc has to be smashed up and rebuilt or summink ) but will check your connections as soon as poss. any kind of music player just makes it fall over completely.
but thanks everyone
