I've just watched "capturing Mary". What on earth is it about?

I enjoyed it, thought it was very well filmed. I thought I was doing well up until she meets Greville in the park and he's still young and then I lost the plot .

What on earth is it supposed to be about?

Yes, I was confused too. But I did enjoy it, despite not really liking David Walliams (is that heresy?). I mean usually - he was great in this.
