To Kill a Mockingbird was great
Also recently went to see The Mousetrap, which was fun!

stirling · 26/01/2023 20:34

BIWI thanks, I forgot mousetrap was back

The Lehman Trilogy is back and that was absolutely stunning.

I wasn’t a fan of To Kill a Mockingbird.

Witness for the Prosecution is brilliant. It's at county hall in a courtroom, so small, intimate and amazingly comfy seats and for an increased ticket price you can be part of the jury.

Bpickle1 · 26/01/2023 20:47

Have seen some fantastic things at the Almedia and the Old Vic.

Chelsea26 · 26/01/2023 21:01

The one that stayed with me for longest, (perhaps forever, recently) was ‘Come From Away’ which is about as musical as you can get.

But I came out needing a cuddle, a drink, a nap and I don’t know what else - it’s incredible.

I’ve since taken people just to watch them watch it

stirling · 26/01/2023 22:03

Oh brilliant thanks for the suggestions everyone, about to look them up

Another vote for this, such a great setting.

This is brilliant, would thoroughly recommend it.

Yeah absolutely, we recommend this to everyone!

Woman in black before it leaves the west end forever

Chooba · 26/01/2023 22:25

Another vote for Witness for the Prosecution!

(I also agree if you wanted musical then Come from Away)

rookiemere · 27/01/2023 07:28

Thanks we are going to London soon so I'm definitely going to get seats for Witness for the Prosecution.

Lcb123 · 27/01/2023 07:29

Come From Away is amazing but it’s not running anymore. I loved & Juliet - very fun!

Toddlingturtle · 27/01/2023 07:40

I agree, to kill a mockingbird was outstanding

mdh2020 · 27/01/2023 08:28

Come from Away will be going on tour next year. We saw it four times in the West End and plan to travel for a weekend away to see it again next year.

BIWI · 27/01/2023 11:58

Those of you recommending Witness for the Prosecution, where would you suggest sitting? It's obviously a different layout from a traditional theatre. And what happens if you buy seats in the Jury Box?!

Whitney168 · 27/01/2023 12:04

Woman in black before it leaves the west end forever

WIB also excellent.

We just sat in the circle booth type seats for Witness, I think. Very comfortable, far more space than your average theatre.

HandlebarLadyTash · 27/01/2023 12:41

2:22 is a good price and was enjoyed by myself and teen

Woman in black before it leaves the west end forever

I have read the book numerous times, seen the tv adaptation and the film.
Nothing compares to the play, truly terrifying.

stirling · 27/01/2023 13:26

Thank you, can't wait to see witness for the prosecution, going mid Feb! I'm going to try Woman in black too, seen it years ago loved it... Thought it had finished.
Come away too sounds good
Thank you EVERYONE!

Oh yes! 2:22 really was good. To the extent that I woke up one night at 2:21 needing a wee and couldn’t bring myself to get out of bed until 2:23 😂.
