I am thinking of joining LOVEFiLM and wondering whether it's any good, and
if there are any better alternatives?

Thank you kindly

we've been members of LoveFilm for about a year and they are great.

SugaryBits · 30/01/2008 20:08

LoveFilm here too, very good. Only takes a couple of days to receive new film after old one has been returned. If you join through Quidco you can get money back and they usually offer you a free trial period.

FrayedKnot · 30/01/2008 21:09

Oh good..thank you...I have a month's free trial offer, think I will join tonight

We use Amazon and they are good too. I think LoveFilm have a better website to choose your films though.

Another happy LoveFilm client here

make sure you request 2 envelopes so you can send films back seperately as soon as watched.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 31/01/2008 12:32

We use Amazon and I have been pretty impressed.

VanillaPumpkin · 05/02/2008 17:11

With lovefilm we pay £3.99 a month and get 2 dvds a month. Its been fab, really quick turn around on DVDs. There are diffrent tarrifs though. Have watched films thatwould normally pass me by.

CaptainUnderpants · 05/02/2008 17:27

I do the tesco on line DVD - sorry cant remeber how much we are paying off top of my head but we get three a m onth whcih I think is fine.

They send them to us , we keep themn for however long and send them back all postage included .

Some of the films I have had have had the Lovefilm logo on it , so all from the same source.

VanillaPumpkin · 05/02/2008 21:04

Yes, Tesco is by LoveFilm too. Now Amazon is too I think they all are!
We pay £3.99 for the two films a month with Amazon. This is the same as Lovefilm though I am pretty sure LoveFilm was more expensive because I was put off going with them before .

DiscoDizzy · 05/02/2008 21:08

I've had free trials with lovefilm (and many others . The only thing I would point out is that if you intend to cancel you MUST make sure you have all your dvd's returned to them prior to your date of payment (some companies like blockbuster give you 7 days to return them, lovefilm do not).

PersonalClown · 05/02/2008 21:10

Another happy Lovefilm customer here too.
I pay £5.99 for 3 dvds a month. I like the variety available.

i've used tesco, movie mainstream, blockbuster, lovefilm, wilkinson dvd and a few others. All have performed satisfactorily.

jellybeans · 18/02/2008 18:18

Used to like amazon but have gone so slow, like they can't be bothered as they are being taken over. They don't bother sending out till a few days after your start date each month and very slow turnaround.
