Are there any 'serious' book clubs online or in SE England?

My bookclub seems to have fizzled out during the pandemic. No big loss since it had degenerated rather into what I'd call 'supermarket fiction' (yes, I know I sound a snob!) and the discussion had become rather superficial.

I studied English Lit at university level and I miss discussing books at that higher level - talking about themes and influences etc.

Are there any book clubs out there that do this, either online or in and around London? I miss serious book discussion Sad.

I’d be interested in this too.

OP, have you read Rachel Cusk’s account of joining a book club? I just know this is what I’d be like if I joined one- an absolute bloody nightmare Grin
