My bookclub seems to have fizzled out during the pandemic. No big loss since it had degenerated rather into what I'd call 'supermarket fiction' (yes, I know I sound a snob!) and the discussion had become rather superficial.
I studied English Lit at university level and I miss discussing books at that higher level - talking about themes and influences etc.
Are there any book clubs out there that do this, either online or in and around London? I miss serious book discussion
