Laurel and Hardy fans - in which film does Laurel go down the plug-hole in the bath?

End of the film, Laurel in the full bath, fully dressed, Hardy pulls the plug out and, with the aid of some very basic special effect, it looks like he goes down the plug-hole.
And while we're at it - which L and H films are your favourites?

Not sure which one this is. My favourites were (when I used to watch them a lot) 'Sons of the Desert', 'Way out West', 'Saps at Sea', all the classics really!

Ooh good taste! Is it the one where they are little boys?

I liked the one where they had a dog hidden in their logdings. What's the name of the chap with cross eyes who's often in their films...aargh it's on the tip of my tongue. I like him. He was the lndlord in it.

I think the little boys one is something like 'Twice Two'? That is fabulous, all those special effects extra large pieces of furniture! Haven't watched any for years on end but you are making me want to hunt some out - never see it in the Sky TV Guide though.

Ben Turpin!

Is it Pardon Us where Stan puts a snooker ball (or similar) in his mouth and he can't get it out again? I think of that often and laugh/cringe at the same time. Bless him!

TinyGang · 24/10/2007 15:53

Excellent

How about the one where they get a job in a saw mill. I LOVE that one!!

Racers · 24/10/2007 16:00

Yeah, Ollie gets a brush glued onto his chin LOL. Or is that the one where they're doing up an old wooden boat? The sawmill is definately the one where Stan or Ollie gets a hand stuck in the top of a window frame and the other stuck in the top!

Racers · 24/10/2007 16:00

bottom, I mean - one at each end!

Racers · 24/10/2007 16:02

Also used to love the one where Stan was still fighting in the war, eating beans from a mountain of tinned cans. He gets found then meets up with Ollie, who is married etc but wants to care for Stan. Blockheads, I think.

TinyGang · 24/10/2007 17:18

Ollie's hat inevitably gets glued to his head.

I don't usually like slapstick but L&H are something else. Never thought I'd be on a Laurel and Hardy thread on here! Fantastic.

I don't normally like slapstick either but they were a class apart.
