random questions about Joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat

(a) would you take a 4 year old?

(b) how scary is it? in particular how much, if anything, is made of the brothers throwing Joseph down the pit?

I went years ago when I was about 6 - it wasn't scary at all but really fantastic to watch

its not scary at all - my parents took me all the time as a child and started my obssesion with it ! The throwing in the pit is done in a comical manner so wouldn't be a problem at all.

I went to singalongajoseph on sunday - where they show the film of the musical which is identical to every production I can remember (inc. the new one) and there were 4 year olds there.

I have shown my 4 yr old the video and am taking him next April - so will be 5. Tbh, we went to see The Snowman last Xmas and I think that was scarier for him than Joseph will be!

Well I took my four year old last Saturday and she cried and wanted to go home because she was scared! (This was the touring production) She didn't like it when Joseph was in Egypt and got jailed there.

She enjoyed the second half though.

i'm inclined to think ds is too young, poor boys even finds fireman sam scary!

I've been to see the West End production this month and it's not scary at all, in fact the whole thing is done in a really humorous way with lots of jokes. Your four-year-old will love it.
