The last track in the film is a particular favourite of mine - quite a sparse piano piece. I've a feeling the soundtrack is by Yared?
Would like to learn something arty - as opposed to Bach and Mozart which I've been at for ages....

Ebay normally is quite good for this stuff.

Thanks whomoved, do you know the track I'm talking about? I had tried Amazon but no luck. Will have a browse on Ebay later, school sports beckons, thanks again.

I don't I'm afraid.... but this page seems too

I think the one you are talking about is "c'est le vent Betty" -is it the one she starts playing with Nicolas at the Piano?, which is then repeated in various forms al the way through.

Or it could be le petitnicolas, which is the one the little boy is playing by himself, but that is significantly more complex a tune. Both are by Gabriel Yared. C'est le vent is on this compilation

Thanks - the one in the music room seems to be it - I'm not sure what the title is, but yeah, I do think it is sampled throughout the film Pru, might see if my music teacher can get it for me or just order it here.

Yeah - thats it, thanks Pru. Someone had done a You Tube link the other night and before I knew it I was looking at a clip of the film - where he is writing and the white cat is on the table? Gosh it brought me back - one of the first films I had seen at the uni film theatre - and it made an impression!!! Anyway fast forward a good few years and I've finally mastered the piano so would like to remind myself of fun times
