Can you suggest a song with reference to social justice?

Hi

Im helping a friend with a presentation as part of her Youth and Community degree.

We need to think of a song that she can present and invoke a discussion on that link professional ethics, to equality, social justice and empowerment.

We have got as far as deciding to find a song that talks about racism but open to ideas.

Suggestions so far : Buffalo Soldier, Bob Marley; Talkiing bout a revolution, Tracey Chapman etc etc

Any suggestions would be great - thanks!

The Specials - Free Nelson Mandela, was a great one in its day and a reminder that Mandela spent a large part of his life in prison

Jack Johnson - Better Than Oxygen (ooh very current)

Robert Wyatt - Shipbuilding, is a beautiful pacifist song (written by Elvis Costello)
It resonates especially now with the ongoing situation in Iraq

There's a Michelle Shocked song, can't remember the title, about a graffiti artist who was killed by police, and none of them were convicted... It's on 'short sharp shocked'

baffled it is by Labi Sifre - i ahve done this song in English (as a foreign language)classes and it always goes down well
