Kelly Clarkson - Because of You

Oh, and happy tears... All About You - McFly reminds me of dancing round the kitchen with DD pregnant with a very large DS shaped bump

bananabump · 28/04/2007 22:37

We Belong Together- Mariah Carey.

Johnny Cash "Hurt"

pinkchampagne · 28/04/2007 22:39

The day after my decision to finally separate with H, Fix You came on the radio & made me cry my eyes out!
I cannot listen to that song now without welling up - the words just sum up our whole situation.

redbracelet · 28/04/2007 22:39

jesus take the wheel - carrie underwood

Am not religious at all but brings a lump to my throat everytime i hear it

Boco · 28/04/2007 22:44

Anything by Celine Dionne makes me weep tears of pure rage.

Bubble99 · 28/04/2007 23:04

Another vote for 'Dance With My Father' by Luther Vandross.

schmaltzy? Yes. But it will have you bawling, if you (as I have) have lost your Pa.

pastalady · 29/04/2007 00:03

John Lennon - Imagine

In bits every time I here it.

FiveFingeredFiend · 29/04/2007 00:05

I hte imagine its so "hallmark" i want to metaphorically puke

mummytosteven · 29/04/2007 00:11

Runaway Train by Soul Asylum
Cars by Gary Numan
Who Painted the Moon Black by Hayley Westenra
Trouble by Coldplay
So Why So Sad by Manics

(for actual tears - god I am a cheery soul eh)

innumerable for mere melancholia. but on the upside some 60s stuff and pieces of classical music do make me feel the world is a better place.

Fake Plastic Trees will always remind me of David Cameron talking about his son who is severely disabled on Desert Island Discs.
Then by an amazing coincidence I bumped into David Cameron with his son Ivan.I`m from up North but were staying in the area where he lives.
I told him that record made me cry and he said well Sam and I listened to it round the kitchen table and we both had tears streaming down our faces

ava cassidy - somewhere over the rainbow

AlwaysWatchingCastawayAt2am · 29/04/2007 00:23

loving you - that very very high pitched one - was playing when i first found my way into scbu to see dd1 a few hours after he'd been born. i sat next to his plastic cot and didn't know what i was supposed to do and noone noticed me so i cried. crying now thinking about it, 7 years later, though i've never done so before. must be theraputic!

and run by snow patrol made me cry one day when i was hanging out the washing. somehting to do with my mum i think.

ghosty · 29/04/2007 00:29

Killing Me Softly by Roberta Flack ... my mother's all time favourite song.

(I like the one by the foogees or whatever they are called too but it doesn't make me cry)

Embarrassingly, "You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins - from the Tarzan movie - it is our song for DS and still takes me back to those early days when he was a newborn and I had PND

Also, "She" - I like the Elvis Costello version (that is DD's song) but the Charles Asnovour (sp?) version makes me cry as it reminds me of my mum ....

TwirlyN · 29/04/2007 00:34

Something by Lionel Richie... can't remeber which exactly, i used to nick me brothers 7"'s and cry when i was dumped.... it was pre hello, HELP, I'm going to Cardiff to see him next month as well.

Loving you is easy cos your beautiful - Minnie Ripperton.
Id just been told my two week old baby boy was going to die. It was playing in the car on the way home. I didnt realise how hard it would be to write this but he is still here and enjoys his Life, tho` severely disabled.

TinyGang · 29/04/2007 11:08

He's a Good Lad - by Bread makes me think of ds

Most songs by Bread make me cry actually!

Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue by Crystal Gale too.

Where's the tissues!
