Moondog, Caribbeanqueen, me. Anyone else?

Rather keen on Maupassant and all, in fact any of that lot especially the ones who died of syphillis, kind of gives them an edge

Both Zola and Balzac were ruined for me at school, and I have no desire to read them again....
However, Flaubert and Stendhal, now you're talking, love them both (I used to be in love with Fabrice of La Chartreuse de Parme, very romantic)
I was also reading some Baudelaire over Xmas and it's so beautiful (Yves Montand sung a couple of his poem really well too)
