can't work my way through that humungous list of schools. I'd be very surprised if DS1 and DD1's schools weren't involved. In fact I'm reasonably sure that DS1 is off to see something next month.

auntymandy · 11/01/2007 18:40

well it is on next month.

nearlymybeetrootday · 11/01/2007 18:54

the kids perform rather than see marsy!!!

OP posts:
Whizzz · 11/01/2007 18:55

our school is doing The Tempest

MarsLady · 11/01/2007 19:01

ah............. that will explain it. Of course I wouldn't know about it as DS1 doesn't do acting... but I think there's due to be a performance of some kind so I'll ask him.

How do I find out which schools are doing it without going through the 54 page list?

RTKangaMummy · 11/01/2007 19:13

DS is in this too

It is deffo brill

nearlymybeetrootday · 11/01/2007 19:14

RTKangaMummy · 12/01/2007 13:52

Blimey Beety what reason do they give for not doing it?

Is it done as a competition ie do the 3 schools get placed or is it just comments that they get given?

auntymandy · 12/01/2007 14:02

I didnt know it was a competition.
Ds is doing Tempest too!!!

RTKangaMummy · 12/01/2007 14:05

No I am not sure that it is a competition

I just wonered what kind of stuff the judges say at end of evening

What kind of costume are the other children wearing

DS is in army camoflage iirc

auntymandy · 12/01/2007 14:09

Ds doesnt know what his costume is yet!

nearlymybeetrootday · 13/01/2007 00:31

It is defo not a compettion.

The reason they are not doing it is becasue they did not know about it - great huh!

OP posts:
JanH · 13/01/2007 01:03

It does happen up here, beety (of course!) but I think schools need to be reasonably close to a proper theatre for it to work; so Burnley does it, and so does Preston, but it's miles to a proper theatre from here.

I will ask about it though

nearlymybeetrootday · 14/01/2007 08:46

Down here we have schools coming from over an hour away!

OP posts:
RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 13:35

Thanks for the info beety

Weird that your DSs school didn't know about it

Is it going to be annual - so they can join in next year
