I saw a reference to this in the paper on the weekend, and thought, "ha ha ha someone's got a sense of humour". But no, apparently it is true . WTF?

oh my GOD

I really should have run him over when I got the chance....

NotQuiteCockney · 19/12/2006 07:01

You could have run him over and you didn't?

I am pretty sure this is another Sign of the End Times.

call it quick reactions - a figure loomed out of the fog in front of my car on Richmond Green and I slammed my brakes on before realizing it was ALW. A real missed chance (and a very surreal moment). DH has never really forgiven me.

It will be a travesty. I wonder whose music he'll knock off this time? Prokoviev, if he's got any sense (now a Prokoviev version, that would be great - shame he's dead)

Hmm, good point, re: "why?". I mean, it's not like the Master and Margerita has great importance to the average British punter ...

It's a whole blackly humourous satire on the Soviet system, isn't it? I have read it, and fairly recently, but I'm pretty blazingly ignorant about Soviet history and literature, and have poor recall.

Very odd.

yes, I think this is a sure sign of the End Of The World.
along with those little gourmet meals for pets with garnishes.
and those 4 horsemen I saw this morning.

oranges · 20/12/2006 10:11

I see...Lots of flying witches singing in chorus suspended on wire over the stage, and groups of men in uniform marching and singing. Awful.

Alternatively, we could all get off our faces on appropriate substances and cackle our way through?

(I once did this with a dreadful American movie ... actually, I think my friends and I were all sober, but just completely unable to take any of it seriously. I don't think the other people in the theatre appreciated us much )
