you lucky thing.
Although I suspect you might have been outnorked by la Roocroft harpsi, just because you can con an unsuspecting Hunker that your norks are better...
Last thing I saw was Albert Herring...good, but no cigar compared to Jenufa [anvy]

Lay of Perceval - very badly misnamed IMO. Coma of Perceval, more like.
Would sooner see Aida done by a matching set of singing sofas from Chisinau at the Albert Hall

oh GOD Marina, I have been thinking about it all day
it was just wonderful, really uplifting and intense....
yes the Roocroft norks were pretty spectacular.
perhaps on a *par with mine, maybe

can I pop into this thread It's good to see another opera person, Me and Dh have recently got into it after seeing most of the ring cycle at the ROH. We saw La boheme last monday which was lovely, in fact it made me cry.(although that could have been the pregnancy hormones)
We're off to see Carmen too in december.
We sit in the cheap seats which have an odd view the lower slips, on the sides right by the stage.
I LOVE to watch the people there, highlights on Monday were a many wearing only a vest with a magnificent beard and a bald head and a women with hair like a bird's nest. I once sat next to some people who met a friend who greeted them by loudly proclaiing 'Hail'! and saw a woman wearing what seemed to be a green knitted ball gown! - only at the ROH
Recently we saw Nixon in China at the ENO which was also good, although the last act was totally bonkers.
I quite fancy the marriage of Figaro there. I'm on a deadline as to how much live theatre/ culture I can see so I'm trying to cram it all in
