Havn't sung for years but have been inspired by the mn choir. My first night tonight am v.excited - mostly because it's a night off!

I have too, and my first night is tonight too, quite excited, although have has a lousy cold all week so voice is decidedly ropey and liable to have a coughing fit!

MegaLegs · 11/09/2006 14:12

Do you know what your choir is singing yet? Are you an Alto or soprano? Don't forget your strepsils.

soprano, do not know what we are doing, e-mailed them a few weeks ago and was just told to come along to bthe first rehersal tonight, sounds fairly social and relaxed and I think they do a mixture of music, we'll see. What about yours? Do you ahev music?

MegaLegs · 11/09/2006 14:24

Same as you. Just told to come along and try them out. Hope I'm not out of my depth.

I loved it although I was definately the youngest there by about 25 years! Lots of bossy ladies looked after me, found me music etc. Joined the second altos and soon got into the swing after a shaky start. Straight into Christmas mode. We're doing Rumours of Angels by Graham Kendrick, lots of tricky flats and sharps and unusual rythmns but was fun! Also Rocky, rocky road which is a West Indian Spiritual style piece by Robert de Cormier. Also sent home with Tutters Carols for Choirs 2 and 3.
How was the audition californifrau - did they weep? (For joy obviously!)
How was yours melrose?
