I am the godmother.

Do you think this is too cheesey?

I pray that God will shine His light on you
Today, and every day to come.
May you always be surrounded by love
And laugh each day of your life.

I pray that you will always be keen to learn
Never be afraid to question
Always be amazed and wonder at the world
Believe in yourself.

I pray that you will journey through life
With good friends by your side.
May you always be treated with gentleness
And show kindness in return.

I pray that your light will always shine.
And even when you are sad or afraid,
You will know you are never alone.
You are special and loved.

Honest opinions please :)

it's not too cheesey.
might be better written as prose though.
