...do you thinnk there is any scope for being a freelance outside of the big cities? I am an ex-journo of some 10 years' experience, plus 5 years subbing but been out of the loop for several years bring up the children and have never done freelance. I have some local contacts but may not be any money in it. While I am willing to write for free to build up my portfolio again , obviously long term I'd like to be earning. Any thoughts/ideas/hints? I consider myself pretty versatile in terms of subject matter and style but would be rubbish at anything too scientific or technically-based. Also, any helpful freelance websites etc that you would recommend? Thanks in anticipation
