Can anyone help me find this sculpture - woods in perspex box

Random request Blush I'm trying to find a photo to help a friend with a photography project she's working on. I was shown this sculpture as part of a slide show during my art foundation course, but can't remember what it was called, who it was by or indeed the context that it was shown in Blush It is possibly in my notes but I did my course about five years ago and we have recently moved, so I have no idea where they might be.

It's a sculpture of some woods (as in forest, not just different types of wood!) contained within a perspex box. I think it is fairly small scale (maybe a foot or so square). The trees are artistically rendered and very atmospherically lit - the overall effect is both claustrophobic and vaguely threatening.

Is that ringing any bells with anyone?

Thanks for reading! :)

that rings a bell with me,but I am not sure who its by sorry.I do think I've seen a pic of it though so hopefully someone else will know more!

At least I haven't imagined it in some claustrophobic nightmare! :)

Hopeful bump :)

Love that but it's not what I was after - the one I'm thinking of is a whole wood and it's enclosed in perspex so you can walk all the way round.

That one is still helpful to show my friend though, thanks :)

This has been driving me mad for days now...but I still can't remember any more about it than your description op.

DitaVonCheese · 20/01/2011 23:17

Sorry! It's irritating me too - particularly since I know I probably have the answer somewhere if only I could get off my arse and find it!

Marking

GroovyGretel · 20/01/2011 23:20

It wouldn't be an Andy Goldsworth would it? Let me go and have a google...

WimpleOfTheBallet · 20/01/2011 23:43

nothing by this woman is it?

DitaVonCheese · 20/01/2011 23:55

Don't think it's either of those, sorry! Thought it could be Anya Gallaccio but can't find it if it is. I've actually just been and looked through all my stuff but can't find it - was just on a handout so probably got thrown out. Meh. The woods themselves are very realistically done if I'm remembering correctly, just on a small scale.

Friend has actually now decided to do something else anyway, but it's bugging me!
