I am a total fan of a country singer named Keith Urban. He's from Australia, but made his move into country music awhile back. He has won awards, has had #1 singles and albums in America, is an amazing guitar player, writes moving and poignant lyrics, is a good singer, and is so handsome that I actually feel like a groupie.

He can be found here:

www.keithurban.net/ (would some kind person please oblige with a link??)

And best of all ladies, he's going to be on tour in Europe in October. I'm going to see him on 14 October in London. Just thought I'd share my guilty little secret!

Give it a look and listen and let me know what you think!

Never heard of him and Cod, you're right, Keith isn't exactly rock'n'roll (or country!)

But Earlybird, just had a look and phwoar

Where can I hear something of his?
Where are you seeing him?

Posey - glad you can see what I see! In spite of the name, he's quite a stunner musically and in the looks department! To listen to some excerpts of his music, I'd go to Amazon US or UK, enter his name and then click on some of the links provided.

He is stunning. His music is pretty great. He's got double and triple platinum albums, is rumoured to be seeing Nicole Kidman ("just friends"), and is currently plastered all over buses in the UK as he's one of the featured artists on the Gap Fall ads along with Joss Stone. Last spring, he was the opening act on all the Brian Adams dates in Ireland, so clearly isn't being pitched to just country fans. He's one of those "under the radar" artists that you will be glad you heard about early.

I'm going to see him at the Hammersmith Apollo. He's also playing Birmingham, Glasgow and some dates in continental Europe.

Posey - I also see that the website I gave below has an audio/video link tab which has a good cross section of his past work. "Raining on Sunday" is such a romantic song! It's a ballad, but his uptempo music is good too. I don't get excited about music much anymore, but this is fab in my book.

Not getting any joy past the first page. Will try again though.

Posey, you have to click "where are you from", click UK, and then it will take you to the main pages. You won't regret it!
