I was nosing at the upcoming exhbitions at the Tate and noticed they have a Rousseau exhibition coming up. Wondered if it might be a good one for a meet? Any one have any other suggestions.

Rousseau Exhibiton details.

god I spend all day defending things like that

Do you ever run out of steam, Enid, or can you do it on autopilot now?

Nightynight · 07/11/2005 18:58

I dont think I could defend a work of art that I thought was rubbish. I could defend some avant garde stuff if I thought it was good though.

the person who chooses it for the gallery ought to have responsibility for defending it!

on autopilot

thats how I get to be on here so often

I wish I could have done it. In reality, I think it was as much to do with lack of confidence as a moral stance, . I don't have a problem with the abstract or avant-garde, just artists who are clearly winging it! I stuck to doing workshops with small children after that interview - much easier and more satisfying to deal with unfettered imaginations than monsosyllabic teenagers, angry councillors and ambitious curators...

So what's your line of work, Enid?
