Cleaner stole - Advice pls !!

Long story short I discovered my cleaner of approx four years had been stealing from me ( some cash, some minor items and my late mothers jewellery) . I involved the police and she was taken to station where she confessed. The police have said she will be sentenced in around 6-9 months time.

The thing I have a huge issue with is she is still cleaning for other people and obviously still has the opportunity to steal from them. I don’t know who her clients are.

is there any way ( legally) that I can either warn people via social media or find out who her clients are and warn them?

Any advice much appreciated !

You've followed up and done what you can, now leave it to the police and the courts. She has to feed and keep a roof over her head until such time as she is sentenced and this may be the only way she can earn money. If she steals again she'll be stupid beyond belief as it will affect her sentence - big difference between a first time offender and a habitual thief. Take a breath and step back, you sound like its turned into a bit of a vendetta now.

She's stolen from you and is being sentenced.

You have no proof she has stolen from anyone else. Having the opportunity to doesn't mean she definitely will, even if you think it is likely (and I would probably suspect her if I was in your shoes too)

However, you definitely have no right to follow her around, put her out of a job and harass her. That turns from her being the bad guy, to you being the bad guy.

@LindseyHoyleSpeaks Thank you , am thinking best to wait until after sentencing , just seems a shame she can potentially steal from others

Well it's a dishonesty offense so you would not be u reasonable contacting protective services and giving her name so they could check that none of their vulnerable clients has her cleaning for them. That way you wouldn't be likely to be seen as dojng something to ruin the court case . Protecting vulnerable people is supposed to come above anything else xx
