Can he take action against me for this?

I was in a horrible relationship during which I sent a lot of text messages calling my ex a cunt. Can he take action against me for this? He said he was planning on doing as I was abusive. I feel he was too but he was careful with texts and came across much better than me.

I am not a lawyer but exactly what crime does he think you have committed?
I suppose it could be harassment but if it’s historical and you are no longer doing it I doubt any action would be taken
Might be a good idea to block him now and not engage with him at all

@Hoppinggreen i guess being abusive? Malicious communications or something. I don’t really know exactly but he was pretty clear he thought I was in the wrong.

Are you continuing to text him now? It it his way of getting you to stop?

Sounds completely toxic. You need to block each other and move on.

Block and move on.
Calling someone a cunt alone wouldn't nessesarily be abusive. It depends was it coupled with any threats or coersive behaviour.

As PP said if this is an ex why are you still in contact? Is there kids involved?

TreacheryPepper · 07/07/2022 11:09

Are you making numerous threads under different names? This all feels very familiar.

It will be malicious communications. If you have sent a number of messages, there will also be harassment & stalking to consider.

Police should take a positive line with domestic violence.

If you are still texting - i suggest you stop straight away.
