Living on a military base with a criminal record

Can a person live on an Armed Forces base with a criminal record?

Recently married DH, love of my life, and long story short I might get convicted of fraud in the next few weeks/months. I'm hoping to move in with DH in December, can I still live on base with him with a criminal record?

AFAIK, yes. But you may want to check with AFF

Thanks so much for your reply!

I'm new to all the lingo, could you explain what AFAIK and AFF are please??

AFAIK is the ordinary "as far as I know"

AFF is the Army Families Federation - I'm afraid I made the wrong assumption that you meant Army. There are family associations for the other services too

I recommend checking because I'm not sure I'm up to date (been in own house for a quite a while). Criminal offences of others in the household are (again AFAIK) only ever relevant for certain levels of security vetting.

A criminal record could affect your husband's career dependent upon the level of vetting necessary for his job - he'll be able to check for you whether or not any conviction will affect his career or your housing options.
