Can I have a 'proud mummy moment' and share my dd's poem?

I'm putting it here because I think it's very creative and I thought it might look less like bragging in here.

Dd1 is 8 and she has just written this in the 5 minutes' 'play-time' I gave her before bed. (She does read a lot, so it's feasible that she's got some of these images from somewhere, but I think it's rather good...)

THE NIGHT

Is a sea of darkness drowning all light

A blanket of shadows covering the sleeping day

A servant of the moon bringing starry wine to his master

A raven landing in the yellow yew tree of day-light.

The night takes many forms but above all is a dream bringer.

Thanks! Your dd is just practising, harleyd, so she's ready when inspiration strikes!
