Did you like writing as a kid?

I’m interested to know if you always liked writing as a kid or if you came to it later?

I feel like there’s a bit of a myth that real writers have always been scribbling away but maybe that’s not true!

Opposite for me, I loved writing as a kid, always writing stories. But by GCSE I didn’t enjoy it anymore and ended up doing science. I still read a lot but never write apart from factual reports for work.

I remember suddenly loving writing from about age 14 or 15, it was like the hormones kicked in and I understood and could express things I never could have before. It was like I went from seeing the world in 2D to 3D and my writing and love of school reflected that.
