I have a story to tell, but how?

Hi,
Hoping someone can advise.
I recently experienced a very traumatic bereavement, compounded by subsequent extreme, reckless behaviour by my immediate family (genuinely sociopathic) essentially living life immediately as if my mother never existed, leaving me utterly traumatised and unable to grieve.
(Its much more interesting than I can explain here!)

I feel I need to tell this story. Somehow.
Stories have been written about much less interesting scandals than this!
But, I’m not a writer. I have no experience at all with writing, script writing, or the arts in general.
How can I get my story out there?
As much for my own healing than for anything else. Where to start? Thanks!

It does sound interesting. you might find someone on online writing reddit subs ? Who may want to write your story. Generally I would look for people where I could see their work online to see if they are any good.

But, the hardest part about writing is the story in itself and if you really feel it is good and interesting I think you should write it yourself. Start by going to reddit writing subs and writing very short stories it will help you practice and you will get feedback. It really is just practice practice practice and you will get good at it and learn how to start and finish a story and pace it. I'm sorry for your loss
