Children/Teens writing - where can young people share work these days?

Years ago in my youth there was magazines, writing clubs and so on where young writers could send in short stories, poems etc and have them published in their respective publications, sometimes there would be competitions but often it was just a chance to share your burgeoning passion with others.

Does such a thing exist these days? I've searched online and offline and can't find anything. Any suggestions very much appreciated.

Check any Online publishers . but do not give away your rights to the book! Just in case !

I'm showing my youth a bit, but I used to have an account on the Young Writers Society. Back then it was a great place to chat to other young writers (I'd say it's aimed at ages 25 and under, but the "old guard" tended to stick around too). There was a points-based system for posting your work, and you could earn points by writing reviews of other people's work. I think the review system was a standout feature of the site because it forced you to think about what worked and what didn't, and learning to critique actually did more for my writing development than receiving the critiques.

The site is still around, but as I haven't used it in a few years I couldn't tell you what the culture is like now. I think they removed a lot of the chat features to tighten up the safety aspect. I can say (having been a member of the mod team) that we were very active in addressing any issues that arose. However, I would advise that it's more appropriate for older teens (16+) than younger ones, although the minimum age is 13. I think you can join younger with parental permission.
