I'm writing a short story and I need a great pirate captain name. Can you help me? I think Captain Hook is perfect but obviously it's been done before... Something along those lines – short, snappy and full of menace.

Captain Blood? One of my primary teachers was Mrs Blood and so I thought she'd be quite frightening, however despite the name, she was a very lovely lady.
